So why did a bride even think to ask if her photographer could DJ?  In a typical example of everyone knowing everyone in Adelaide, it turns out I used to work with the bride’s sister.  This was back before I started Bliss Images.  When I spent my nights DJing in the clubs, and the days co-founding one of my old pet projects Fresh FM.  I’d actually retired from club DJ’ing over 2 years ago, but when they asked for “Ministry of Sound/Fresh Fm/club” type sounds, I couldn’t resist.

So here we are in the middle of the ocean, a trailer loaded with a sound system probably bigger than KI has ever seen, on our way to Penneshaw.  Photographer by day, and DJ by night… all with a stunning view of the sea!  I do like my job

Friday kicked it off with a wedding in the Adelaide Botanical gardens (a real challenge during Mad March in the East End).  Saturday was a huge Greek-Italian wedding of epic proportions!  7 Groomsmen plus the Groom, 7 Bridesmaids plus the bride, 2 flower girls and a page boy.  That’s 19 in the bridal party by my calculations!

The ceremony was at St Ignatius Church in Norwood with it’s newly renovated entrance, and the reception at John DiFede Reception Centre,  Windsor Gardens.  Not to be outdone by the enormous Bridal party, this is the wedding cake that greeted us as we walked into the room…..
